The founder of the group, Russ plays the bass fiddle, is one of the group's two yodelers, and does all the vocal arrangements. Before moving to Utah and starting up the Bar G Wranglers, Russ was a member of the "Bar J Wranglers" in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the "Sons & Daughters of the West" in Northern California.
Wranglers. We are excited to have the talents of Layne back with the Wranglers. He adds a powerful baritone voice and a great guitar picking style to the Wranglers sound. Layne lives in LA Verkin,Utah.
Pastor of Valley Christian Fellowship, and Fiddle player for the Bar -G Wranglers. Seth grew up without electricity and where mail only was delivered twice a week, in Prairie Idaho, a remote cattle ranching community in the Sawtooth Mtns. Of South-central Idaho, self taught on the fiddle Seth started performing at the young age of eleven, and performed all across the country from coast to coast. Since then he has recorded and performed with many of the western music groups all around the west. “Sagebrush” Seth is an outstanding fiddle player and his versatile vocals (baritone, lead, and tenor) are a great asset to the Bar-G sound. His personality and outstanding trick roping are fun for all ages.
Cassy is such a great addition to the Bar G sound. Not only providing a solid rhythm Guitar, Cassy is much accomplished vocally as well as versed on several other instruments including bass and fiddle. Cassy and Seth met as a consequence of the Cody Stampede in Cody Wyoming and a year later were engaged at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center on the Fourth of July. Moving to the Yellowstone National Park area, in 2000, to work with the Diamond C Chuckwagon stabilized Cassy as the Guitarist she is today. Years Later found both Seth and Cassy moving to Cedar City where they joined up with the Bar G Wranglers outfit, and as they say "the rest is history". A mother of three: Emma- 12, Colter-9, Catherine (Kit)-6, keeps Cassy "Momma Cass" very busy. However, her love for the West and its music keeps her performing five nights a week all summer long. Thanks for sticking with it Cassy!
